🛡️ Shield of Arrav – Bribing the Tramp Method
During the quest, you’ll need help from either the Black Arm Gang or the Phoenix Gang.
One alternate way to progress is by bribing the tramp in Varrock. Here’s how it works:
1. Finding the Tramp
• Go to the tramp near the Black Arm Gang’s alleyway in Varrock.
• Talk to him, and he’ll start by asking you for spare change.
2. Dialogue Choices
When speaking to the tramp, you’ll get several options:
• Say you have no money → he thanks you and the chat ends.
• Tell him to get a job → he insults you and the chat ends.
• Give him money → this is the key option.
• Ask about the alleyway → he explains it leads to the Black Arm Gang and hints about joining them.
3. Bribing the Tramp
• If you choose to give him money, he’ll thank you.
• Then you can ask: "Can I pay you to do something shady for me?"
• If you agree, you can start bribing him with 2,500 coins at a time.
4. How the Bribes Work
• Each bribe costs 2,500 coins.
• You’ll need to pay him five times total (12,500 coins).
• After each payment, he’ll drop hints and act like he knows something shady.
5. Completing the Quest Step
• Once you’ve bribed him five times, the tramp will hand you the Arrav certificate.
• Make sure you have at least 2 free inventory spaces before the final bribe.
• If you don’t, he won’t give you the reward until you clear space.
